Jennifer woke up one morning and looked in the mirror. This is the same habit most people around the world do when they get up in the morning. They roll out of bed, rub their eyes, and stagger towards the bathroom. They turn the water on, and look in the mirror. This morning, however, Jennifer may be unlike most people in the world. She stares at her double chin and can’t for the world figure out how to get rid of it. She thinks to herself; how can I lose this stupid thing? How can I lose my double chin without having to starve myself?
Jennifer is of normal weight, normal height, and normal in just about everything else. This is why it’s so troubling for her to have this problem. She doesn’t know why she has it, she doesn’t know how to get rid of it, and she thinks about it every day. She thinks about it when she looks in the mirror. She thinks about it when she looks at pictures. She thinks about it while taking those pictures. She thinks about it when talking to men. She is always thinking about it.
Luckily enough for Jennifer, she soon discovers some interesting notions as to why this problem is always there, and why she is having so much trouble finding a solution. Turns out, there are very few complete solutions out there. Sure, some people are able to lose a large portion of their double chin when they exercise and diet, but for Jennifer it isn’t so easy. She is happy with her weight and happy with her body. Traditional methods just won’t cut it.
She soon learns that the kind of foods she eats really has a lot to do with this. She learns that water retention is one of the main causes, and she learns that there are certain dietary tricks she can easily incorporate into her life that can help her lose her double chin.
Jennifer discovers two main ways to prevent water retention. The first one, as silly as it sounds, is drinking plenty of water. By drinking plenty of water, your body will have less reasons to hold onto it. When our bodies don’t have enough water, they hold onto as much water it they can. By providing your body with at least 8 glasses of water a day, your body will not retain water and realizes that plenty of water is coming into the body.
The second way is to cut down on sodium content in the food that you eat. This can be difficult, however, as Jennifer soon realizes. This is because sodium is in almost everything! Although this is the case, there are certain dietary guidelines you can take that will help you minimize your sodium intake. One easy way to cut down on sodium is to refrain from eating canned or packaged foods. These foods contain a tremendous amount of sodium.
Also worth mentioning, as Jennifer tried this as well, is the use of diuretics. Jennifer knows that she must be careful with diuretics, however, because using too many can have the reverse effect and cause your body to retain water. Lemon juice in water, cranberry juice, and even small amounts of caffeine can help your body shed excess water.
Most importantly, she also discovers face exercises. She discovers that they are extremely effective at helping her with her double chin. She tried all types of them, but the best results that she got was from a program that included both a proper diet program designed to limit water retention as well as a structured and well-tested face exercise regimen. The exercises only take her about 10-15 minutes to do every day, and immediately after doing them she can feel the difference. The face has muscles just like other parts of the body. By working these muscles, they become toned and trained and adhere to your facial skin and bones much better. By performing these facial exercises she can tell something is happening, and she is about to finally lose her double chin.
After a few weeks of keeping a proper diet, drinking plenty of water, limiting water retention, and performing her face exercises, she is amazed at the differences. She is kicking herself for not having tried these programs sooner, but happier than ever that she finally did and she will no longer worry about the question – how do I lose a double chin?
