Not sure how to jazz up your LBD without spending a fortune well the answer could be a pair of colourful peep toe ladies shoes.

According to Look magazine “Bright heels are and easy way to add oomph to a plain dress – perfect for getting ready in a rush. But don’t be afraid to wear them with prints too.”

While Vogue reckons we should be “playful with punchy-coloured feet – Miu Miu’s courts have a childlike charm.” While red kittens heels were seen at Stella McCartney and Isabel Marant

And with the Spring/Summer 2011 catwalks full of bright colours you could be well ahead of the trend by getting a pair in early.

Marc Jacobs sent a disco inspired collection at New York fashion week which featured bright studio 54 inspired colours and Louise Gray’s first solo collection at London fashion week featured Nicolas Kirkwood designed shoes by Pollini for Louise Gray which were bright Mary Janes.

So you’ll be well ahead of the fash pack if you get in now.

And according to Look “Remember: bright, bright, bright! Not quite flouro, but primary-colour bold- just think of the paints you used to have at school.”

They add that “the shades may be standout, but it’s all about a classic shape. Go for a court or sling back style, with or without a platform, and whatever heel height you like.”

So if you are looking to make that plain LBD stand out a bright coloured peep toe is the way forward. The ladies shoe is a great way to make sure that old faithful outfit looks gorgeously different for half the cost of a new dress! Match a pair of new shoes with a stylish handbag and make that LBD look trendier than ever! Handbags is another good way to spice up outfits.

And what’s more it gives you an excuse to have some fun with your pedicure. You have the choice to clash or coordinate your pedi to your shoes but of course clashing is far more fun and clashing nail polish will help make the shoes stand out far more.

And as the days get darker and drearier a colourful pair of heels is a great way to brighten up your wardrobe and add that perfect bit of colour in the dull winter months what’s not to love?
